Today, I'm sharing perhaps the smallest yet most frequently requested tip I receive from clients: how to customize the organization icon located in the upper right corner of your Shopify Admin.

While it may seem like a minor detail, having a custom icon helps distinguish your store, especially if you manage multiple Shopify instances or simply want a polished backend environment. Here is the quick workflow to get it done.

How to Update Your Shopify Organization Icon

Follow these simple steps to replace the default placeholder with your brand's logo:

  1. Navigate to Settings: From your Shopify product admin dashboard, click on Settings.
  2. Edit Store Profile: Look for the store information section at the top. You will see a pencil icon next to the current image or store name. Click this icon.
  3. Upload Your Image: Select Upload icon.
  4. Select File: Choose the image file you wish to use from your computer and wait for it to upload.
  5. Save Changes: Once uploaded, hit Done and then click Save to confirm.

You will immediately notice that the icon in the top right corner has populated with your new custom image.

Summary

That’s it! A very short tutorial, but one that adds a nice touch of personalization to your daily workflow.

I will be posting a lot more regular Shopify development content and tutorials going forward, so be sure to subscribe for more tips.
